On the first episode of Raw following Elimination Chamber 2021, a WWE star may have gotten injured during their singles match.
Last night on Raw, John Morrison faced the new US Champion Matt Riddle. During the match it looked like Morrison took a pretty hard fall to the outside. Later on in the night, Morrison would accompany The Miz during a WWE Championship segment.
Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez discussed this moment on Wrestling Observer Radio. Noting that he came down hard on his knee specifically, Meltzer recalled that Morrison seemed hurt in later segments.
Here is the full quote:
Meltzer: “Morrison got hurt on a dive.”
Alvarez: “He was off tonight. And he did a Torneo dive and his knee just smashed into Riddle’s face then he hit his knee on the floor.”
Meltzer: “He finished the match and everything but you could tell when he came out later with Miz that he was limping pretty hard. He was trying not to show it, but he was moving pretty slow and gingerly so hopefully his thing isn’t too bad.”

After winning an Elimination Chamber pre-show match, Morrison took Keith Lee’s place in the US Title match on Sunday. He was pinned by Matt Riddle, who in turn became the new US Champion.
Morrison’s ally The Miz cashed in his Money In The Bank contract at Elimination Chamber to become WWE Champion. He defends his championship next week against The Hurt Business’ Bobby Lashley, who will reportedly be in the WrestleMania 37 WWE Title match.
