Current WWE World Tag Team Champion JD McDonagh of The Judgment Day says he has been pushing for PLE in Ireland.
For years, Ireland has been a frequent destination for the WWE house show tours. However, the country has never been a stop for a major show for the company.
WWE has recently visited France, Scotland and Germany for premium live events in 2024.
In a recent interview for Irish Wrestling & Entertainment, Ireland’s own JD McDonagh says he has been pushing WWE to visit the country for a PLE. He said:
“Any chance I get I bring it up.
“We’ve had a few great crowds this year in WWE in France, and there was Puerto Rico a couple of years back that was crazy, Germany this year was pretty wild.
“Any chance I get I go ‘You want a good crowd? The Irish fans are pretty insane.’ We’re trying to get it going.
“I know there’s a few Irish on the Raw roster right now. There’s never been as much Irish representation in WWE.
“So I think if we get our ducks in a line, maybe something good could happen in the next couple of years.
It remains to be seen if Ireland will be the next WWE PLE stop for the promotion at the time of this writing.
