Pro Wrestling Illustrated (PWI) has revealed its 2020 ‘Women’s 100’ and a WWE star and reigning champion is sitting atop the list.
This year, current SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley tops the list having reigned with the title since October 2019 and through the entirety of this year so far.
The top 10 is:
- Bayley
- Becky Lynch
- Asuka
- Charlotte Flair
- Sasha Banks
- Hikaru Shida
- Tessa Blanchard
- Riho
- Io Shirai
- Mayu Iwatani
The rankings were made using the following criteria:
The PWI 500 was released earlier this year, with AEW World Champion Jon Moxley being ranked #1. There is still debate as to whether the PWI lists really mean anything, but at the very least they are an indication of success in the industry, which is highlighted by Moxley and AEW having mentioned his ranking on TV.
Last year it was Becky Lynch who topped the women’s list with Bayley coming in sixth spot. You can purchase the new issue featuring the full PWI Women’s 100 at this link. The digital version is available instantly but the print version is for pre-order.
