A popular WWE star has been announced for a very rare independent appearance amid their ongoing storyline on Raw.

Fractions have begun emerging in the New Day in recent weeks ever since Karrion Kross entered the fray and caused tension between Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods.

Both members of the group are set to be in action on next week’s episode of Raw, with Kofi facing off against Chad Gable, while Xavier Woods faces Rey Mysterio.

Amid the ongoing tensions in the New Day, former WWE Champion Kofi Kingston has been announced for a very rare independent appearance.

Today, Ego Pro Wrestling in Chicago announced that Kingston would be the special guest at their upcoming Return to the Forge event.

They tweeted:
