WWE Star Makes Raw Singles Debut

WWE Star Makes Raw Singles Debut WWE

WWE star had his first ever singles match on Raw during tonight’s April 14 pre-WrestleMania episode of the show.

One match set for Mania weekend is Rey Mysterio vs El Grande Americano (Chad Gable), set to take place on Saturday, April 19.

Ahead of that match, Mysterio was in action on Raw tonight against one of Gable’s proteges in American Made – Julius Creed.

During the match, Michael Cole on commentary noted that this was actually Creed’s first singles match on Raw.

In fact, it was Creed’s main roster TV singles debut, as he’s never had a singles match on SmackDown either.

He has had a few singles matches on Main Event since his call-up from NXT in October 2023, as well as some during his time in NXT.

Of course, Creed’s matches have mostly been tag matches alongside his brother Brutus.

During tonight’s matcg, only a few minutes went by before both American Made and the LWO, who were out in the corners of Creed and Mysterio respectively, were kicked out by the referee.

In what was a competitive match and a good showcase for Creed from that point onwards… that was until Chad Gable came back out to ringside in the El Grande Americano mask to distract Mysterio.

Creed tried to take advantage but failed to do so, and Mysterio still picked up the win.

Post-match, Gable/Americano used his metal-loaded mask to headbutt Mysterio and the other LWO members who tried to save the WWE Hall of Famer.
