A WWE star has reacted to losing their first-ever championship in the company at a recent premium live event.
NXT hosted it’s Halloween Havoc premium live event last night, which featured three championship matches, including a title change.
NXT Women’s North American Champion Kelani Jordan was set to defend her championship against a member of Fatal Influence in a stipulation chosen by the group.
However, the trio opted for a Gauntlet match, which would see Jordan face all three members back to back.
While Kelani was able to overcome Jazmyn Nyx and then Jacy Jayne, the odds overwhelmed Kelani for the third match, which saw her lose the championship to Fallon Henley.
Taking to Twitter following the show, Kelani reacted to losing her championship, ending the reign of the inaugural NXT Women’s North American Champion.
She said:
Every title defense I made sure to give it my all. Always wanted to live up to the high expectations of being the first women’s NA Champion. Tonight was no different.
Thank you for all the love. Not the end, only the beginning. #TheStandout #WWENXT #HalloweenHavoc
After Henley’s victory, Zaria made an appearance in the ring, where she laid out all three members of Fatal Influence.
