A WWE star has reacted to their real-life brother’s big victory in another promotion that took place earlier today.
The finals of the 2025 New Japan Cup took place earlier today, with the final seeing Shota Umino take on David Finlay.
In the end, it was Finlay who managed to score the victory, earning his first ever New Japan Cup victory, and an IWGP World Heavyweight Championship clash with Hirooki Goto at Sakura Genesis on April 5.
Finlay is the son of WWE legend Fit Finlay, and the brother of current NXT star Uriah Connors, who has commented on his brother’s big triumph earlier today.
Taking to Twitter, Connors simply wrote:
Y’all slept on that boy…. Now look.
