A former WWE star has opened up on a ‘racist’ segment on WWE television, saying it’s the one thing they’d wish to erase from their career.
Numerous segments from yesteryear in WWE have resurfaced online in recent years, with the content in the segment feeling incredibly outdated.
One of those segments re-emerged on Twitter last night, on the 15th anniversary of former WWE star Yoshi Tatsu’s debut on the ECW brand, when he faced off against Shelton Benjamin.
Reacting to the segment, which saw Benjamin cut a promo before the match in a mocking Japanese accent, Shelton named it as the one thing in his career he could erase, being disgusted by the ‘racist s**t’.
He said:
If I could erase one thing in my career this is it. I’m completely and utterly disgusted by this racist shit. I’m glad the ending was my character getting kicked in the head and losing #racismsucks
