A WWE star has been removed from a championship match taking place tonight at Worlds Collide in Las Vegas.
On the card for tonight’s WWE & AAA Worlds Collide show was a AAA World Tag Team Championship match with Pagano and Psycho Clown defending against New Day’s Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods.
However, it was announced just ahead of the match that there would be a change to challenging team.
In a backstage interview, Woods announced that due to injuries suffered at the hands of Penta’s Mexican Destroyer, which he has been petitioning to ban, he wouldn’t be able to compete.
Instead, New Day’s recent accomplice Grayson Waller filled in, teaming with Kofi Kingston.
Woods was present at ringside accompanying them for the match against Psycho and Pagano, who became champions at TripleMania 33, defeating Angel and Berto, Los Garza.
Well, he was ringside until he ran to the back after watching Psycho tear his mask to reveal the second face underneath.
Not long after that, Pagano and Psycho went on to retain their championship against Waller and Kingston, but the story didn’t end there.
As Pagano and Psycho were celebrating, they were interrupted by the entrance of the WWE Tag Team Champions, the Wyatt Sicks.
The Wyatts destroyed Pagano and Psycho before holding up both the WWE Tag Team Championship belts and the AAA Tag Team Championship belts.
