WWE Star Removed From Show Due To Injury WWE

A WWE star has been eliminated from a show due to an injury he suffered while working a match at an untelevised live event.

The WWE LFG ‘Legends & Future Greats’ series has been airing weekly on A&E every Sunday since February 16, with 16 Performance Center trainees being mentored by four WWE legends in the form of The Undertaker, Mickie James, Booker T and Bubba Ray Dudley.

During last night’s March 2 episode, one of the 16 participants had to be removed from the competition after suffering an injury during a match at an NXT live event.

That participant was Sexy BJ Ray, who had been a focal point of LFG up to that point due to his outspoken attitude and disagreements with his allocated mentor, Bubba Ray Dudley.

Ray was ruled out of the competition and was replaced by another Performance Center trainee Cutler James, who impressed the four mentors in a tag team match with Drako Knox, Osiris Griffin and Tate Wilder to decide who would replace Ray.

Ray will seemingly continue to appear on the show despite no longer being one of the 16 participants, as a preview for next week’s episode showed him getting into another disagreement with Dudley.

A side story is that James and Ray actually have history as they were teammates in college and have apparently gotten into it with each other in the past.

James and Griffin have actually already debuted on NXT TV recently as two members of the new “mystery” faction alongside Dion Lennox and Saquon Shugars.

That wasn’t the only injury on last night’s episode, as there was an incident where a match between Chris Island and Shiloh Hill had to be stopped as Island legitimately connected with a kick to Hill’s head and seemingly knocked Hill out.

There was no announcement that Hill had been removed from the competition like BJ Ray was.

The winner of WWE LFG will earn an NXT contract – in reality they all already have NXT contracts but it will likely mean the winner will debut on TV after winning the LFG show.
