A WWE star replaced Corey Graves on commentary for SmackDown tonight after a chaotic opening to the show ahead of tomorrow’s Wrestlepalooza.
SmackDown was set to kick off with Brock Lesnar being interviewed by Michael Cole.
However, Lesnar decided to get physical with Cole, carrying him and shoving him in the ring until Cole’s commentary partner Corey Graves intervened.
For getting involved, Lesnar gave Graves two F5s in the ring, which meant Graves was taken off commentary for the rest of the show.
After Michael Cole called the first part of the first match – Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss vs Alba Fyre & Chelsea Green – by himself, he was soon joined by a guest.
Filling in on SmackDown commentary tonight in place of Graves is The Miz, who does have some experience on commentary from being a replacement in the past.
Miz being out there is notable as tonight, his Melo Don’t Miz tag team partner Carmelo Hayes has a United States Championship match against Sami Zayn.
Miz helped Hayes and Trick Williams score a win against DIY at WWE NXT Homecoming this past Tuesday.
