WWE Star Responds To Being Removed From WrestleMania Plans WWE

A WWE star has reacted to being removed from plans to be involved at the WrestleMania 41 event this past April.

The WWE Unreal series on Netflix showed an originally planned card a while ahead of the event, which featured numerous matches that didn’t end up taking place.

One of those was a six-man ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship featuring Jey Uso, Damian Priest, Sami Zayn, Sheamus, Bronson Reed and Ludwig Kaiser.

Instead, the Intercontinental Title match at Mania ended up being a regular four-way between Bron Breakker, Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio and Penta.

Appearing on the Kennt jeder podcast with Hamad Firdousi, Ludwig Kaiser was asked whether he knows what WWE has planned for him six months ahead and brought up the aforementioned Mania plans as an example. He said:

“I don’t think anybody knows (plans six months ahead). Have you seen the first card of WrestleMania? There was a ladder match for the IC Title. That never happened. I had a feeling, but I did not know for sure it was happening for me.

“Imagine someone tells me that six months in advance. But now something happens. Someone needs to be replaced. Could be enough for plans to change. Imagine telling everyone your plans and all those people on the card. That is madness. Not even four weeks in advance.

“You can ask around. But I ask myself, ‘For what?’ I get there every Monday, in the best shape possible. I need to focus on what I can control: my condition and my looks. The hardest part is not the training, not the matches. It’s the mental challenge of never knowing what is next.

“You can be THE GUY on Monday and the next Monday you are off the card. Not necessarily because you are bad, but because something has come up. You have to cope with that.

“It took me many nights to deal with that. I am an emotional human. But Gunther helped me. We are like batteries. I am plus where he is minus. Where I am a lot, he is less, and the other way around. We balance each other out. I am now a lot better at accepting all of this than I was.

“In Brussels I had a big fight against Penta. The (segment) before was Cena and Cody, people went insane. They went longer and our match went short. You can not plan for this. I had to cope with that, because realistically we have a different priority than Cena at this moment in time.”
