A professional wrestling legend and current WWE name is set to make their last appearance in Germany as part of their retirement tour.
Meiko Satomura has previously announced her upcoming retirement in April 2025 with a last match at Tokyo’s Korakuen Hall for Sendai Girls’ Pro Wrestling.
However before her last match, she is doing a variety of shows in anticipation of her retirement including one just announced in Germany with wXw.
The official wXw account wrote to accompany the announcement of Satomura’s appearance (translated):
One Last Time: Meiko Satomura one last time in Germany
@satomurameiko, a living legend of women’s wrestling, will fight her last match in Germany on January 18th at #wXwBttR 2025 in the Turbinenhalle 2 in Oberhausen before she ends her career! She is known for her tough strong style and technical perfection.
Satomura made her debut in GAEA Japan in 1995 at just 15 years old and has been making wrestling history ever since. In 2005, she founded her own promotion, Sendai Girls’ Pro Wrestling, and became a role model for female wrestlers around the world. Her successes include winning the 2018 Femmes Fatales tournament with a final victory over Toni Storm and being crowned @WWENXT UK Women’s Champion 2021.
