A WWE star has pitched to return to an outside company later this year amid WWE’s partnership with the promotion.
WWE has recently begun partnering up with a number of outside promotions, including Japan’s Pro Wrestling NOAH promotion.
In the past year, Josh Briggs, Tavion Heights, AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura have all wrestled for the promotion, as well as NOAH’s Yoshiki Inamura appearing on NXT.
Recently, NOAH legend Naomichi Marufuji teased getting a message from WWE’s Shawn Michaels, and today he announced a series of upcoming matches to celebrate 25 years of NOAH, asking fans who he should face off against.
This prompted a response from Big Bronson Reed, who shared a photo of he and Marufuji together in the ring previously, replying:
July … Hopefully, I am cleared. It’s been a long time, let’s do it again! Except I’m a whole different monster now!
