It appears a WWE star could be on the verge of returning after almost a year out of action due to an injury.
In the May 2024 WWE Draft, Kiana James was called-up from NXT as a new member of the Raw roster.
However, after only having two matches on Raw following her call-up – as well as an additional two on Main Event – James suffered a long-term leg injury.
In something of an update, WWE has updated James’ official profile ‘render’ image on its website, as you can see below.
The image appears to be much more recent than the previous one, so at the very least, this implies James is far enough along in her recovery that she was present to have the photo taken.
There hasn’t been much word on her return timetable, other than she was expected to be out for “upwards of six months” when she first suffered the injury, and it’s now been 11 months.
When she first debuted on Raw, she appeared set to be positioned as something of an assistant for Raw General Manager Adam Pearce, so it remains to be seen if that plan will resume when she’s back on TV.
Her two matches on Raw were a win against Natalya, and then a three-way match with IYO SKY and Zelina Vega, which was won by SKY.
She won her two WWE Main Event matches, which were against Ivy Nile and Natalya.
We’ll keep you posted with any further updates as they emerge.
