A WWE star could be returning to TV with a new gimmick at this coming Saturday’s Halloween Havoc premium live event.
Halloween Havoc takes place in Prescott Valley, Arizona on Saturday, October 25, headlined by Ricky Saints vs Trick Williams, and Jacy Jayne vs Tatum Paxley.
An interesting name who seemingly might show up at the event is Brooks Jensen, who has been off WWE NXT TV ever since he was kicked out of The Culling by Izzi Dame back in June.
Since then, he’s been working on WWE Evolve, but his return to NXT could be imminent.
Earlier today, he tweeted, along with a link promoting Halloween Havoc:
The comeback is always greater, stronger, clearer.
Be ready for anything.
He’s now posted a new video, which features him recapping the history of Halloween Havoc from its inception in WCW in 1989 up until its revival in NXT in 2020.
He said:
“You’re kidding me. You don’t know the history of Halloween Havoc? Alright, get comfy.
“October 28, 1989, WCW was desperate to take attention away from WWE – Halloween Havoc makes its way into the picture. Now at the time, wrestling was being blamed for why teenagers were acting out, and claims of worshipping the devil. What better way to bring a whole family together, right?
“For 11 years, Halloween Havoc was the most enticing pay-per-view that the wrestling world had to offer, but at what cost?
“Sure, you had the weapons, you had the wheels, you had the cages, you brought it all. But what about 1996? 1996, fans were tossing and turning, wondering what they just saw on their television screens.
“And don’t get me started on 1998. I mean, 1998, fans started to believe that there was a curse. Why was the match taken off the air so quickly? Was Ultimate Warrior to blame for that?
“Look, I don’t have the anwsers, but what I do know is that in 2000 Halloween Havoc went off air and was never to be seen again – until its revival in 2020.
“Matches that stand against the test of time, Eddie Guerrero against Rey Mysterio in 1997, the first ever women’s triple threat match in 2021 that featured our very own Jacy Jayne.
“Which leads me to this Saturday, October 25. Will Ethan Page outlive the dead? Will Tatum Paxley get the treat, or will she be tricked? Will history repeat itself?
“Look, you may not know the history of our business, but I’m always here to teach you. See you in Arizona.”

Lexis King, who formed a partnership with Jensen at the WWE NXT live events last weekend, reposted Jensen’s video with the caption, ‘The HISTORIAN,’ so it could be that this is a new direction for Jensen on TV.
Jensen, the son of former WWE star Bull Buchanan, has long been a proponent of the traditions of wrestling but has never really had the chance to translate that passion to something on TV, but that might be about to change.
