WWE Star Returns At Recent TV Tapings

It was reported last week that Shayna Baszler was healthy but just not being used on television. Well, that is changing although not in the way most fans would hope. Mike Johnson of PWInsider is reporting that Baszler wrestled at a recent TV taping in a match taped for Main Event.

She has not been on television since defeating Natalya on the May 12 edition of Raw. It had been going around that Vince McMahon had lost interest in her resulting in her being pulled from TV.

Considering Baszler’s rapid ascent to the main event scene, it is interesting to see how quickly she has fallen. WWE does not have a good track record of pushing NXT stars but Baszler decimated the Raw women’s division in the Elimination Chamber en route to her defeat at the hands of Becky Lynch at WrestleMania. If she was going to beat five other women so easily, you would think WWE would have the smarts to continue to protect her going forward.

It remains to be seen if this appearance on Main Event will lead to her return to Raw. Given that nothing of importance ever happens on Main Event, it doesn’t appear likely.
