WWE Star Returns At NXT Deadline 2024

A former champion made his return in the men’s Iron Survivor Challenge match at tonight’s WWE NXT Deadline 2024 premium live event.

The men’s Iron Survivor opened Deadline, with a mystery element heading into the match.

Just a couple of hours before the start of Deadline, it was announced that Eddy Thorpe had been pulled from the lineup as a result of the mystery attack he suffered on WWE NXT this past Tuesday.

The replacement remained a mystery until the final entrant of the match 15 minutes in was revealed to be Oba Femi, who had been off TV since late October.

The Iron Survivor kicked off with Je’Von Evans and Wes Lee as the first two entrants, followed by Nathan Frazer, then Ethan Page, then Femi’s return as the fifth and final entrant.

Despite having the least amount of time to pick up falls, Femi did win the match as he ended up with three in total.

Evans and Page ended with two falls each, with Lee and Frazer both having scored one each.

As a result of winning the match, Femi is now the #1 contender for the NXT Championship, so he’s next in line to challenge the winner of tonight’s title match between Trick Williams and Ridge Holland.
