A WWE star has returned to in-ring action after being away for the last nine months on tonight’s WWE SmackDown (May 19).
Facing off in a match against former NXT foes, the WWE NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions took on some familiar faces.
Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn (complete with their NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship titles still!) made their SmackDown in-ring debut against a pair of NXT stars.
While they weren’t referenced as an NXT tag team, they were in fact not local enhancement talent as some main roster viewers may have assumed.
Not only making their main roster television debut, one was returning from being out of action with injury for the last nine months!
Yulisa Leon returned to in-ring action after nine months on tonight’s WWE SmackDown, joining Valentina Feroz in taking on the champs.
Leon had been out of action with a knee injury since August last year.
In the end, the champions emerged victoriously.
Elsewhere on tonight’s WWE SmackDown, Roman Reigns came face to face with Sami Zayn for the first time since Elimination Chamber. You can learn more about that by clicking right here.
