WWE Star Reveals Injury WWE

A WWE star has today revealed they suffered an ankle injury, promising that they will be back ‘soon’ following the announcement.

There are a number of WWE stars who have suffered injuries in recent months, including Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Seth Rollins and more, derailing plans for WrestleMania 42 and beyond.

Today, a current Evolve star revealed that she suffered an ankle injury, and is set to be out of action.

WWE Evolve’s Chantel Monroe Suffers Injury

Taking to her Instagram account, WWE Evolve star Chantel Monroe shared a photo of herself in a hospital bed with a cast on her right ankle, noting that she had suffered an injury.

Who Is Chantel Monroe?

Chantel Monroe, real name Derrian Gobourne, signed with WWE through the WWE NIL program, officially making her in-ring wrestling debut at an NXT live event in May 2024.

Prior to signing with WWE, Gobourne was a gymnast from Auburn University, who officially reported to the Performance Center in June 2023.

Monroe has been a regular feature of WWE Evolve, debuting on the third ever episode of the show with a victory over Layla Diggs.

What Is WWE Evolve?

WWE Evolve officially launched on March 5, 2025, with the show airing live on Tubi every Wednesday, as well as airing on YouTube internationally later the same week.

The show is considered a subsection of the NXT brand, with WWE Performance Center talents that have yet to make NXT television, WWE ID contract talent and lower card NXT stars all appearing frequently on the show.

The show has it’s own set of champions, with NXT star Jackson Drake of the Vanity Project reigning as the current and inaugural Evolve Men’s Champion, while the Evolve Women’s Championship is currently vacant.

Kendal Grey officially vacated her WWE Evolve Women’s Championship on last week’s episode of the show following her victory over Tyra Mae Steele ahead of a full-time move to the WWE NXT roster.

Many recent additions to the NXT roster, including all three members of Vanity Project, Keanu Carver, Sean Legacy and Eli Knight, came through WWE Evolve.
