The main roster career of Mustafa Ali has been full of setbacks. However, when it comes to this year, he is done making excuses for missing WrestleMania 37.
Ali posted a tweet earlier today where he opened up about his current feelings. He did finish his tweet by saying next year he will compete at WrestleMania. Here is the quote:
“Hundreds of excuses. Hundreds of hurdles and lies. But at the end of the day, it’s on me. No one and nothing else to blame but me. Another year, another WrestleMania that I’m not going to compete in. Nothing has ever been given to me. This is no different. Next year, you’re mine.”
Mustafa Ali spent the end of 2020 and the start of 2021 as the leader of RETRIBUTION. By all accounts, the group was a failure, rarely ever picking up wins. After losing to Riddle at Fastlane, the group turned on Ali, leaving him laying.
Ali had spoken about wanting to perform at WrestleMania as the United States Champion, however his attempts to dethrone Riddle were unsuccessful. Now, he will be watching the show from the sidelines.
