WWE Star Says They’re ‘Going To War’ With Mustafa Ali

Mustafa Ali has set his sights on Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods in recent weeks. Now, Kingston will be returned the favor, promising to “go to war” with the Retribution leader.

Retribution took down Woods on last night’s Raw and Ali called out Kingston in the beatdown. Kingston responded to Ali’s comments with a video on Twitter today. Here is the tweet:

“I just watched Raw and Ali I’m not really concerned about what you said I’m really more concerned about what you did. Four men versus one. Four versus one, Ali, you are a coward. You said I had the greatest moment of my life because you had your worst? You said I had my moment at WrestleMania because I took your spot at the Elimination Chamber? Ali what did you think was going to happen, man? What you thought they were gonna put a cardboard cutout of you in your pod to represent you because you couldn’t make it? Or you thought they were gonna cancel the entire pay per view because you got hurt?

No, Ali, that is not the way that it works, man. You got hurt, they needed someone to replace you, and that someone was me because you got hurt. I’m not going to apologize, I’m not going to take the blame. Honestly, you should be blaming yourself for your shortcoming and you should be blaming yourself for not being able to achieve what you set out to achieve. Not achieving your own goals, that’s on you, Ali, nobody else!

That’s what I did for 11 long, hard years. I blamed myself. For all the obstacles that were placed before me, that stood between me and the WWE Championship. I blamed myself. Case and point, 2009 when I had my head rammed into the steel steps before I could get into the Elimination Chamber and having my spot stolen. I didn’t blame anybody else, no. Hard work, dedication, perseverance, sacrifice, and a little bit of luck and I was able to achieve my childhood dream even if it was a decade later, I was able to do that. That’s what I did. What I didn’t do was blame other people, Ali. I didn’t blame anybody else. I didn’t take this route of cowardice. Four men versus one.

You put hands on my boy, you crossed the line. I keep saying it but I don’t know if you’re fully understanding it but at some point and time, I am going to come back. And when I do the numbers aren’t’ going to be quite even but they gonna be a bit closer and I got a funny feeling that we’re going to war and I hope you’re ready.”

For those who don’t remember, it was Kofi Kingston who replaced Mustafa Ali in the 2019 Elimination Chamber. This is when KofiMania truly began and he was able to win the WWE Championship from Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 35.
