Rising WWE Star Dubbed ‘Super Athlete’ By Current Champion WWE

Over the past few weeks, eyes have been on current NXT star Sol Ruca.

A video clip of Ruca recently went viral of her hitting her Sol Snatcher finishing move, leading to a load of fanfare.

Sol also recently performed an incredible save during a women’s Battle Royal on NXT, akin to those made by Kofi Kingston during Royal Rumble matches in years past.

Kofi spoke about Sol Ruca during his appearance on the Out of Character podcast, calling her a ‘super athlete’, and praising the future of WWE.

He said:

“Oh my god, she’s a super athlete. Some of the videos she posts on social media, like her doing pistol squats on a balance bar… If I tried to do a pistol squat right now, my knee would laugh at me, explode, and disappear. I can’t do that. It’ll be like Avengers, you know I’m saying, where Thanos snapped his fingers. I’m out of here man, I can’t do that.

“She surfs too, right? Just a super athlete man. Even her finishing move where she does the inverted up and over into the cutter… what the? How? How dude? How do you even have the guts to try that in front of a live crowd and nail it every single time.

“Like I said man, the future is bright for WWE because these guys and girls in NXT are amazing. The raw athleticism is great and it’s only gonna get better with experience in the ring and matches and promos and all of that stuff, so when it’s all said and done, Sola, among others, everyone’s gonna be just awesome. It’s gonna be such a great product to watch.”

Kofi is currently one half of the NXT Tag Team Champions, and will defend the titles alongside Xavier Woods against Gallus, Pretty Deadly and Chase U at NXT Vengeance Day this Saturday.

Sol Ruca recently entered a storyline with Indi Hartwell and Zoey Stark on NXT.
