Following his match with Johnny Gargano, WWE SmackDown star Apollo Crews has undergone surgery for an injury.
On the January 24 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Apollo Crews scored a victory over Johnny Gargano thanks to a distraction from the Motor City Machine Guns.
It was later revealed that Crews suffered a torn pectoral muscle that would keep him out of action and required surgery, which you can read here.
On February 4, Apollo Crews took to Instagram to reveal that he was undergoing surgery for his torn pec injury. With a photo of himself in the hospital, he wrote the following caption:
Heading into surgery today.
A few weeks ago on SmackDown, I tore my pec—an unfortunate situation. Sometimes, you do everything right, but there are just some things beyond your control. I’m looking forward to the road ahead, attacking it with a positive and unstoppable mindset. 👊🏿
And enjoy my clean shave! It has been a while since I have seen this baby face!
It remains to be seen when Crews will make his in-ring return following surgery for his injury at the time of this writing.
