WWE
Following last night’s episode of WWE Raw, a former champion has addressed the moment a swear was used on the show.
Danhausen isn’t the only member of the WWE roster to be dropping curses, with Michael Cole being heard to deliver a linguistic variation on the March 16 episode of Raw.
Monday’s WWE Raw episode saw Brock Lesnar’s opponent confirmed for WrestleMania 42, thanks to Oba Femi leaving the Beast Incarnate on his back in the ring.
With Femi hitting the Fall From Grace on Lesnar, Michael Cole declared ‘holy s**t’, something that Tommy Dreamer would comment on during Busted Open After Dark, saying:
“When you talk about the emphasis of a curse, Michael Cole, I don’t know the last time, or if he has cursed on the air before.
“That was the best use of a curse I’ve seen or heard in maybe 10 years on the microphone. It was such a perfect, real thing.”

Swearing on WWE TV
It’s easy to swear, either with intent or inadvertently, but doing it effectively is a skill in and of itself.
In the case of Michael Cole, it certainly seems that his use of “holy s**t” was a punctuation mark on the moment, having seen Femi hoist Lesnar into place before delivering the Fall From Grace.
While swearing may not be seen as clever or funny by many, it has become a more common method of communication that, when used appropriately, can deliver a striking and dramatic moment, something that Dreamer intimates Cole was able to do.
The strength of Cole’s words, especially as the “serious” play-by-play voice on WWE Raw, is that it stands out more than if his color commentary partner, Corey Graves, had said the same thing.
The Road To WrestleMania 42 Can Give Us More Femi & Lesnar Moments
Having crossed paths at this year’s Royal Rumble, Femi and Lesnar is a match that fans are seemingly eager to see, with the former NXT Champion himself previously saying, “it’s going to happen one day.”
That day will be on April 18 & 19 at WrestleMania 42, with the strong possibility that Femi will come face-to-face with Lesnar once again on one of the veteran star’s limited dates ahead of the upcoming WWE Premium Live Event.
While last night’s episode of WWE Raw saw Femi with his foot on the chest of a downed Lesnar, one can only picture how the highly decorated star will fare in his first singles match since defeating John Cena at Wrestlepalooza in September of last year.
On top of that, it became clear that Lesnar, once again allied with Paul Heyman, had his eyes on Seth Rollins, who is yet to be cleared for a return of his own, decimating a number of masked men on last night’s Raw.
