‘I Want To Be A Killer’ – WWE Star Teases Character Change

‘I Want To Be A Killer’ – WWE Star Teases Character Change WWE

A WWE star has teased a potential character change after several weeks of vignettes suggesting a new attitude could be coming.

On the November 17 episode of WWE Raw, Maxxine Dupri captured her first piece of gold in the company by defeating Becky Lynch to become the new Women’s Intercontinental Champion.

One week after her win, Dupri found herself targeted by Ivy Nile and Roxanne Perez, with both stars eyeing up her title, leading to Dupri to seek out her mentor Natalya for additional training.

As has been documented by WWE in a pair of vignettes over the past two weeks, Natalya has been pushing Dupri to show a more serious and gritty side – something that fans are anticipating could soon translate to TV.

Speaking on the Battleground Podcast, Dupri said the vignettes are “absolutely” an indication as to how she wants to carry herself as champion:

“Here’s the thing, like I said I’m grateful for everything that I did to get here, but I’m not messing around. If I want to stay in this position then I have to continue to elevate, legit every single day.

“Like this is the first step of a new journey and a new type of respect that I want to earn, not only from the WWE universe but also from the locker room.

“And as we saw last week on Raw, I have Ivy (Nile) and Roxanne (Perez) and everyone calling (Adam) Pearce wanting a match with me, thinking they can just easily become the Women’s Intercontinental Champion. And I’m okay with people doubting me because that’s how I got here, but when I step in that ring, I want to be a killer.”
