WWE Star Reflects On Being ‘Temporarily Paralyzed’ Following Injury WWE

An injured WWE star has reflected on being ‘temporarily paralyzed’ on Raw amid their ongoing injury recovery.

Four years ago, WWE Raw was airing live from the Thunderdome in Orlando, Florida during the COVID-19 pandemic, a rather bizarre time in the company’s history.

On the September 7 episode of the show, the Hurt Business quartet of MVP, Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander faced off against Ricochet, Apollo Crews and the Viking Raiders.

The match was notable due to Ivar of the Viking Raiders suffering a neck injury during the match, which kept him out of action for seven months.

Ivar, who is currently out with another neck injury, reflected on the injury today, taking to Twitter to discuss his gratitude to be able to return after being ‘temporarily paralyzed’.

He said:

4 years ago today I was Temporarily paralyzed in the thunderdome on Monday night raw. Incredibly grateful for the ability to return to the ring after this double fusion surgery and Have great runs with @erik_wwe and @wwevalhalla and even this quick solo stint.

Ivar then posted a follow up tweet, thanking fans for their support during his current neck injury, promising a return.

He added:

And as I work hard to return from my CURRENT neck situation I wanted to take the time and thank every single one of you out there who is cheering me and my health on! I promise I will return! Thank you all for your love and support!
