WWE Star To Appear On NXT Commentary Next Week

During tonight’s episode of NXT, Wade Barrett revealed that he would not be on commentary next week. Barrett had missed shows in the past so this isn’t too impactful.

However, have no fear NXT fans as it was announced that WWE star Kevin Owens would be filling in. Owens has been linked to the NXT brand since his call up as well. Most notably, Owens made his return to the brand last year at NXT Takeover Wargames, taking down the Undisputed Era.

That had been his first appearance on the show since joining the main roster full time in 2015. Next week will be his first appearance on the show since that match.

Barrett has been on the NXT commentary team since earlier this year. No reason was given as to why he would not be appearing on the show next week.

It was also announced tonight that WarGames would be returning. The next NXT Takeover event and the final one of the year will be taking place on December 6. No matches have been announced for the show but a number of them were teased on tonight’s show.
