WWE Star Turns Babyface

A WWE star and current champion turned babyface during tonight’s January 10, 2025 episode of SmackDown on the USA Network.

Last week’s SmackDown was the first since the move to three hours, and featured a title change as Tiffany Stratton cashed in Money in the Bank to win the WWE Women’s Championship from Nia Jax.

Despite the positive reaction Stratton got from the crowd and the fact she defeated heel Jax, reports throughout the week suggested Stratton was still listed as a heel internally within the company.

However, during SmackDown tonight in Stratton’s first appearance since her title win, she seemed to cement a babyface turn.

Stratton explained that the cash-in was a plan all along, and she had always intended to turn on Jax eventually.

Stratton was interrupted by Jax, before Bayley, Naomi and Bianca Belair all headed to the ring as well.

A brawl broke out in the ring, which ended with Stratton landing the Prettiest Moonsault Ever on all four other women, and getting another big positive reaction fro the crowd.

After the brawl, General Manager Nick Aldis came out and announced a four-way between Jax, Bayley, Naomi and Belair to determine Stratton’s first challenger for the title.

That four-way was won by Bayley, and it’s been confirmed that the WWE Women’s Championship match between Bayley and Stratton will take place on SmackDown next week.
