WWE Star Turns Heel & New Faction Formed

WWE Star Turns Heel & New Faction Formed WWE

There was a notable heel turn and seemingly a new faction formed during tonight’s May 28 WWE NXT Battleground show.

The news came during the second match of the show, which saw Noam Dar defending the NXT Heritage Cup Championship against Dragon Lee.

As per Heritage Cup match rules, both Dar and Lee had a cornerman each – Lee’s was Nathan Frazer, but Dar didn’t have one to begin with.

After being absent for the first round and appearing hesitant to corner Dar, Oro Mensah showed up, and actually ended up turning heel by illegally helping Dar and attacking Frazer.

That’s not where the story ends though – despite the referee throwing Mensah and Frazer out of ringside, Dar had some other backup in the form of some unexpected names.

Although they’d apparently had disagreements with Dar on TV recently, the tag team of Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend appeared at ringside, and while Jackson distracted the referee, Legend attacked Lee with a bucket from behind, allowing Dar to score the win and retain the Heritage Cup title.

After the match, Mensah came back out and he, Dar, Jackson and Legend all celebrated together, all wearing pink, so it seems they’re a full-on new group.

The full card for NXT Battleground tonight is as follows:

NXT Championship – Carmelo Hayes (c) vs. Bron Breakker

NXT Tag Team Championship – Mark Coffey & Wolfgang (c) vs. Brutus & Julius Creed
