WWE Star Undergoes Shoulder Surgery

A WWE star has recently undergone surgery after recently being off television due to suffering an injury, his wife confirms.

John Cena competed in his final WWE Raw match on the January 17 episode of the show in Madison Square Garden, teaming with Sheamus and Rey Mysterio against Finn Balor, JD McDonagh and Dominik Mysterio of the Judgment Day.

While the match was Cena’s final Raw match, it was also Sheamus’ most recent match, with him not appearing on WWE television since the match after suffering an injury.

Taking to Instagram today, Sheamus’ wife confirmed that Sheamus recently underwent shoulder surgery in Birmingham, Alabama.

She wrote:

When I told my husband I wanted to go on one last trip before the end of the year, this is NOT what I meant 😅

From the Eiffel Tower in Paris to the Trevi Fountain in Rome to La Sagrada Família in Barcelona to… the Birmingham Surgery Center in Alabama — I’m honestly just happy to travel with him 🥰
