A WWE star has announced they’re undergoing finger surgery as they continue their recovery from a lengthy injury layoff.
One the most highly rated matches of last year’s WrestleMania 41 event was the Women’s World Championship three-way between IYO SKY, Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley.
However, Belair suffered an injury during that match that has kept her out of action since.
Initially said to be a broken finger, Belair has since stated that the issue was actually a broken knuckle, which complicates the recovery process.
Today, Belair took to her social media to announce that she is undergoing finger surgery tomorrow, February 16.
Having not wrestled since the aforementioned WrestleMania match, Belair did make a few on-screen appearances last year, most notably during the Naomi vs Jade Cargill feud which included a match at WWE Evolution where Belair was the special guest referee.
Later in the year, she was shown in the crowd for the NXT Homecoming show at Full Sail University, where she got her start at WWE almost 10 years ago.
We continue to wish Belair all the best as she recovers from her injury.
