A WWE star has officially vacated their championship following their most recent defence on tonight’s episode of Evolve.

In recent months, WWE Evolve Women’s Champion Kendal Grey has been splitting her time between both WWE Evolve and NXT following her victory in the Iron Survivor Challenge.

At last week’s Evolve Succession II show, Kendal defended her title against PJ Vasa in a Street Fight, with her next defence set for tonight’s show against Tyra Mae Steele.

The match would be Kendal’s final match as part of Evolve ahead of her moving into a full-time spot on the NXT roster, with Kendal picking up the victory in the main event of the show.

After the match, Kendal took to the microphone, where she officially vacated the WWE Evolve Women’s Championship, handing the title over to new Evolve General Manager Timothy Thatcher.

Kendal Grey took aim at the NXT Women’s Championship on this week’s episode of NXT, with her calling out Jacy Jayne for a shot at the title following her match with Sol Ruca and Zaria on next week’s NXT show.
