WWE Star Vacates Championship Due To Injury

UPDATE: This has now been officially announced on TV during SmackDown.

News breaking from tonight’s (May 19) WWE SmackDown taping as it seems that a WWE star will have to vacate a championship due to injury.

With a fan in attendance at tonight’s WWE SmackDown taping posting a photo taken of a match graphic shown to the crowd, touting a big upcoming match.

Firstly, it was announced that Liv Morgan has sustained an injury that would see her out of action for a considerable amount of time, therefore the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions had vacated the titles.

A new match to crown a new duo of winners was announced for two weeks away.

The match was noted for WWE Raw in 2 weeks time and for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships with champ Raquel Rodriguez’s photo appearing alongside a mystery partner.

Rodriguez and mystery partner will compete against Bayley and IYO SKY, Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green and another formidable tag team for a chance at the titles.

Also challenging for the titles? Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler!
