Sheamus Vows To Bring Back Popular Old Theme Song WWE

Sheamus has been having the run of his career in recent years, putting on, in his own words, banger after banger after banger, with the fans finally giving him his flowers as a future Hall of Famer in the company.

Sheamus recently challenged Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship at Clash at the Castle, with him just failing to come up short against the Ring General, unable to capture the one championship that has avoided him his whole career.

Also at Clash at the Castle, Drew McIntyre challenged Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, also coming up short. The match saw McIntyre finally bring back his popular ‘Broken Dreams’ theme song, which Drew himself and many fans had been asking for for years.

Sheamus has also spoken a lot in the past about returning to his old theme song ‘Written in my Face’. Speaking to Inside the Ropes, Sheamus spoke about potentially bringing back his old theme song, which he used from 2009 until 2015.

Sheamus has spoken about times he has been denied a return to his old theme song in the past, but says it is not something he is going to give up on.

He said:

“I definitely would love to bring that song back. Before, I know, it was stopped, they weren’t gonna let me have it. It’s amazing what a song can do or an entrance music can do to bring people back in with that nostalgia. I definitely will keep pushing to have that song back, and it’s something that I haven’t given up on. But I think there’ll be a time and place for that to come back. I think that it will be massive and I’ll be able buzzing off it too because like that just brings back so many memories of the beginning of my career and for fans too as well. So yeah, it’s cool. I don’t know.”

Sheamus continued on, naming one time that he wanted to bring the song back was when he returned from injury in early 2020 after missing months of action due to a neck injury, where he ditched his former mohawk look, returning to his look from his 2009-2014 run.

He explained:

“It’s a song that I like man, it’s just you know it’s part of my entrance. I wanted to bring it back when I came back and when I brought the old look back. So the reason I wanted to change the music when I had the Mohawk is just a completely different look, kind of different character and then when I came back the idea was to bring back the old music back, but some things you can get by, you know, some things get knocked back. But I haven’t given up hope. I think when that happens, it will happen, I think it will be awesome.”
