A current WWE SmackDown star has named Daniel Bryan as his dream opponent and said he wants a “legendary classic” match with him.
Chad Gable has been one of the most underutilised talents in WWE for several years now, but he’s been getting some consistent TV time in recent weeks.
It’s believed that’s due to the backstage influence of Bryan himself. On the topic of a potential match with Bryan, Chad Gable told WWE’s The Bump:
“That’s a dream of mine. That’s the dream match of mine’. I haven’t gotten to the point yet in WWE where I’ve had a chance at singles championships. I want stakes to be there when I finally get that chance to wrestle Daniel. I want something to be at stake. I want a championship to be at stake. I want time and to make this a technical classic. If we get that chance, without a shadow of a doubt, it’s going to be a legendary classic that you look back on. People have talked about it, and it’s going to live up to [their expectations] because I will ensure that it does. I don’t waste opportunities. I take advantage of them.”
Gable has recently formed a tag team with Otis on SmackDown and on this past Friday’s show they both played a small role in the obstacle course challenge between Bayley and Bianca Belair.
