WWE Star Vows To ‘Liberate’ Championship

Former WWE Champion Kofi Kingston has addressed the “wild” title stat for The Judgment Day ahead of Monday Night Raw.

Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods of The New Day will challenge Finn Balor and JD McDonagh of The Judgment Day for the World Tag Team Championships on the September 16 edition of WWE Raw.

This marked the first title defence for The Judgment Day since winning the gold on the June 24 episode of Monday Night Raw.

Ahead of the title defence, Kingston took to social media to address The Judgment Day’s 71-day World Tag Team Championship reign. He wrote:

Tonight, on #RAW, Woods and I liberate the tag titles from these heathens and become 13-timerssss… and all will be right with the world. LFG!

Also announced for tonight’s show, CM Punk will return to address his Hell In A Cell Match against Drew McIntyre at WWE Bad Blood, and Sheamus will face Pete Dunne.
