WWE Star On What Working With Paul Heyman Is Like

A popular WWE star has recently opened up about what it’s like to work with Paul Heyman.

Speaking on Oral Sessions with Renée Paquette, the current Intercontinental Champion has revealed that his relationship with the former ECW promoter.

Referencing their segments on Talking Smack, Big E noted that his interactions with Heyman have had a positive effect on his career. E also was impressed with the Special Counsel’s charm.

“It’s not even like there was a conversation that, you know, ‘You’re my guy’, it just kind of, you’re doing Talking Smack and Paul does his thing and I respond. And what a charmer. He’s a heck of a charmer. When I saw the feedback, and I knew when we were doing it this is good for me, this is a good conversation, like nothing bad is gonna come from this being out there and him kind of stirring the pot and this idea. So both conversations I had with him – I did one alone and we did one with me and Apollo. But it’s all been positive I think too.”

Big E references the viral promo on the December 12 edition of Talking Smack, where Heyman encouraged Big E to cut ties with The New Day.

Heyman used the example of Roman Reigns moving on from The Shield to argue that you Big E would never reach his full potential unless he took his singles career seriously.

Less than 2 weeks after Heyman’s advice had went viral, Big E won the Intercontinental Championship. WWE clearly see potential in the former New Day member, the sky is truly the limit for the former powerhouse.

Big E competes in the 2021 Royal Rumble match this Sunday.
