PWInsider has revealed that despite there being “a lot of excitement” amongst WWE stars regarding live events returning in July, some of the roster is being “cautious”.
The site is reporting that there is “a lot of excitement about going back on the road among the talents”, with last night being the first Raw show that WWE has put on since it was announced that the company is going to resume touring in July.
The talent on the roster are said to be hopeful that they will see bumps in their pay from merchandise royalties with fans back at shows.
However, some roster members were described as being “cautious in expectations”, with there being a worry that the show may not draw. Talent is very interested in seeing how the initial shows sell when tickets go on sale on Wednesday.
WWE is looking to bolster the first show back with fans, as advertising in Texas is promoting that Edge and Sasha Banks will both be returning on the July 16 episode of SmackDown, the first WWE TV show with fans since the March 9, 2020 episode of Raw.
