WWE Star’s Contract Terminated

WWE Star’s Contract Terminated WWE

A WWE star’s contract has reportedly been terminated early ahead of its planned expiration date later this month.

Last month, Ridge Holland, real name Luke Menzies, announced that WWE had informed him his contract wouldn’t be renewed when it was due to expire on November 14.

Menzies has noted multiple times the significance of the timing of this decision, as he recently suffered a serious injury working on behalf of WWE for TNA, and just underwent surgery that will keep him out of action for upwards of half a year.

Yesterday, Menzies issued another social media statement, noting that he had been “completely f**ked” by the company and the decision.

Today, Fightful Select reports that Menzies’ contract has been terminated early by WWE as the company considered some of his recent posts and comments to be “a breach.”

The report notes that Menzies would have been paid up until November 14, but now that he’s been terminated early, the belief is that he now won’t be paid for the days that would have been left before the contract was set to expire on that date.

Last year, Holland took a paycut of around $200,000 when he moved from the main roster to NXT, which was a move that he himself suggested.

Menzies noted that WWE is taking care of his surgery and physical therapy, but he described that as the “bare minimum.”

Menzies had been with WWE since May 2018.

We wish him all the best for his future.
