Other WWE stars may be set to make an appearance for another promotion following a recent crossover match announcement.
It was announced yesterday that former WWE Champion AJ Styles will be returning to Japan, with him set for a big dream match in Pro Wrestling NOAH against Japanese legend Naomichi Marufuji.
The match was announced following AJ’s I Quit match loss to Cody Rhodes at WWE Clash at the Castle in Glasgow, and it seems as though he won’t be the only WWE star heading to NOAH.
Per PWInsider Elite (via WrestlePurists), the word making the rounds among WWE talents is that, not only will AJ be heading over to NOAH next month, so too will his OC partners Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson.
Gallows and Anderson will likely corner AJ for his match with Marufuji, rather than competing on the show itself.
The match is set to take place on July 13 at Budokan Hall.
AJ isn’t the only WWE star set for a crossover match in Japan on July 13, as former WWE Women’s Champion IYO SKY will be competing for Rossy Ogawa’s Marigold promotion on the same date against Utami Hayashishita.
