With one NXT act drafted to the WWE main roster this week, some fans online criticized the continuity of the move given a recent storyline.
Now the WWE stars in question have hilariously responded on Twitter ahead of their future debut on SmackDown.
After last week’s episode of NXT saw Pretty Deadly effectively written off of the show, fans of the duo were hopeful this was a sign of an impending call up.
However since the last time Tony D’Angelo and Stacks Lorenzo put someone over a bridge and indicated they were “sleeping with the fishes,” the person in question (in this case, Cole Karter formerly known as Two Dimes on NXT) popped up in AEW shortly thereafter, it was unclear.
Thankfully after the second night of the 2023 WWE Draft, we had our answer to the future of Pretty Deadly as Elton Prince and Kit Wilson were announced to have been drafted to WWE SmackDown.
Now the duo has hilariously responded on Twitter, with Wilson posting a video along with the caption:
“For those saying “I thought they were dead!”
Whereas Elton Prince shared the wise words:
“Wasn’t deep enough.”
Pretty Deadly are headed to SmackDown alongside other draftees Cameron Grimes, Grayson Waller and NXT Tag Team Champions, Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre.
