A pair of WWE stars have lost their championship gold during tonight’s AAA TripleMania XXXIII event in Mexico City.
After WWE’s acquisition of AAA a few months ago, tonight’s card featured numerous WWE talent all over the card.
One of those matches featured the Los Garza cousins Angel and Berto defending the AAA World Tag Team Championship against Psycho Clown and Pagano.
The match was a street fight, meaning it featured many weapons including steel chairs, tables, kendo sticks and barbed wire.
Ultimately, it was barbed wire that wrapped things up when Pagano landed a barbed wire wrapped Spanish Fly on Berto to score the win, with he and Psycho Clown winning the championship.
Los Garza had been AAA World Tag Team Champions since June 15, when they won the title in a four-way that also featured the Nemeth brothers, Psycho Clown & Pagano and former champions Nueva Generación Dinamita.
Angel and Berto recently defended the championship on WWE SmackDown against the team of Mr Iguana and Psycho Clown.
Iguana was also in action at TripleMania tonight, as he teamed with Nino Hamburguesa and Lola Vice in a losing effort against WWE’s Judgment Day.
