A WWE tag team teased a heel turn on tonight’s SmackDown as another star seemingly also broke down after recent frustrations in the division.
Despite the Cinderella story of the Motor City Machine Guns debuting in WWE and winning the WWE Tag Team Championship in only their third match in the company, not everyone is thrilled.
Notably, both the Street Profits and Tommaso Ciampa are less than impressed with the way their title dreams were dashed so quickly.
There was a tag team title match between the Street Profits and the Motor City Machine Guns on tonight’s SmackDown, but there would ultimately not be an official finish to the match, as instead there was an interference.
Tommaso Ciampa of DIY ran out and attacked the Motor City Machine Guns, leading to a disqualification.
When Johnny Gargano ran out to try and stop the attack from his own tag partner, instead Ciampa would end up shoving Gargano down before stomping away.
Back in the ring, the Motor City Machine Guns attempted to extend handshakes to the Street Profits, but instead were met by a not so enthusiastic response.
Angelo Dawkins slapped Alex Shelley as the segment would end with the Profits clearly demonstrating their frustration at the situation.
You can see a clip of the issues between Gargano and Ciampa below.
