PHOTO: Several WWE Stars Spotted Training With Marty Scurll

WWE star Matt Riddle shared a photo to social media following a training session with several WWE stars and Marty Scurll.

The photo, taken at the Daniel Gracie Orange County gym features a number of familiar faces, including SmackDown talents Karrion Kross and Shinsuke Nakamura, and NXT’s Cameron Grimes and Bodhi Hayward. Inaugural Women Of Honor Champion Sumie Sakai was also included in the group-shot.

Controversial former NJPW and ROH star Marty Scurll also featured in the photo, with Riddle tagging Scurll on Instagram.

Allegations against Scurll notably surfaced in the Speaking Out movement in 2020, with Scurll being accused of sexually assaulting an intoxicated 16 year old girl in the UK. Scurll had shared a statement in response to the allegations, claiming that he believed the encounter was consensual. Scurll’s ROH departure was announced shortly after these allegations surfaced.

Former WWE star Santino Marella (Anthony Carelli) faced backlash in July for booking Scurll for his Battle Arts Professional Wrestling promotion.

Riddle is set to face Seth Rollins in singles action at this weekend’s (September 3) WWE Clash at the Castle premium live event.
