An update has emerged on Meiko Satomura’s WWE status, ahead of her upcoming in-ring retirement later this year.
As was announced last year, the Japanese wrestling veteran will wrestle her final match in Spring 2025.
The former NXT UK Women’s Champion will wrestle her final match on April 29, with Sendai Girls’ Pro Wrestling sharing a graphic for a show called ‘Satomura The Final’ on this date.
While Satomura has wrestled elsewhere during her retirement tour, Satomura is still listed on the official WWE roster as an NXT star.
Amid speculation about Satomura potentially having one more WWE match, a new report has indicated that the international star is done wrestling for the company.
Per Fightful Select, NXT sources they spoke to believe that Satomura’s house show match against Bayley was her ‘WWE swan song’ ahead of her retirement.
Satomura notably challenged for Bayley’s WWE Women’s Championship at the July 27, 2024 house show in Tokyo, Japan, which was announced shortly after Satomura originally announced her retirement plans.
