WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin is set to appear in Fortnite, with his addition to the video game happening on April 16.

The inclusion of Stone Cold Steve Austin was first teased late in March, with the legendary star’s name, along with Liv Morgan, being spotted in a filename associated with the long-running video game.

Now, the official Fortnite Twitter account has confirmed that fans can expect to see Stone Cold in the game from April 16.

In a post shared on Twitter, gamers got their first look at Stone Cold, complete with a rendition of his entrance, with the message:

“AND THAT’S THE BOTTOM LINE… 4.16.26.”

The addition of Stone Cold brings that WWE star into a season that has seen The Rock return as The Foundation.

Another WWE Star In Fortnite!

Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock are far from the only stars to have appeared in Fortnite, with past seasons seeing John Cena, Cody Rhodes, The Undertaker, Rhea Ripley, Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair make their way to the video game.

While The Rock portrayed the in-game character of The Foundation, other WWE stars have been, as with The Rock and Cena (who most recently appeared in his guise as Peacemaker from the HBO/DC series), acquirable skins to adorn player avatars.

It goes beyond a simple skin, too, with each character typically also having music associated with said WWE star and accessories around the theme.

Typically, as with many games such as Fortnite, the skin and accessories don’t play a factor in the game itself, though fans are eager to spend V-Bucks (acquired via the season pass or real-world money) to add their favorites to a no doubt growing locker of options.

In addition to the appearance of Stone Cold Steve Austin in-game, April 16 is quite the day for Fortnite players, with Epic Games officially launching the free-to-play version of the Save The World mode, the survival mode that entered early access in 2017 and would eventually spawn the much more recognized Battle Royale mode, with more game modes having been added over subsequent years.

Fortnite has grown to be an industry-defining online gaming experience, with crossovers featuring major franchises, such as Lego, The Simpsons, South Park and Game of Thrones, along with many celebrities seeing their likeness replicated as skins in the game’s store.
