An update has emerged on WWE broadcast rights, with the company’s deal with a streaming service expiring.

With WWE Raw set to move to Netflix in January 2025, many fans are excited for the company to enter its TV streaming era.

Ahead of then, WWE’s rights deal with Hulu to bring SmackDown to the service following it initially airing on FOX has expired.

The Hulu Support Twitter account confirmed this, sharing the following message to fans asking about SmackDown on Hulu:

Sorry for any disappointment! We’ve now received confirmation that this episode will not be available on Hulu.

Our rights to offer new episodes of WWE Friday Night SmackDown have expired at this time.

SmackDown will move to the USA Network this week, with the September 13 episode being advertised as a premiere.

A big main event has been announced for the show, with Solo Sikoa set to challenge for Cody Rhodes’ Undisputed WWE Championship in a steel cage match.
