Top WWE Faction Breaks Up At WWE SummerSlam 2024

At tonight’s WWE SummerSlam 2024 premium live event, a faction broke up after two betrayals completely fractured their relationships.

In the opening match of the night, Dominik Mysterio cost Rhea Ripley the WWE Women’s World Championship after distracting the referee and giving a chair to Liv Morgan.

After Morgan retained the title, she and Dominik kissed – this time Dominik being more than willing – before leaving the ringside area together.

Afterwards, Damian Priest was shown looking for Dominik and demanding to know of Finn Balor if he had been aware that Dom and Liv were in cahoots which Balor denied.

Later in a backstage segment ahead of Priest’s own match against GUNTHER, Balor offered to be by his side during the match if that was what Priest wanted.

However, the move would end in total disaster for Priest as during the match, he seemingly had victory within his grasp as he was pinning GUNTHER.

But the pinfall wouldn’t come to fruition after Balor reached into the ring and put GUNTHER’s ankle on the rope to prevent the pinfall – essentially costing Priest the match and the title.

With Priest now distracted by Balor’s betrayal, GUNTHER would go on to get Priest in a submission hold.

While he would attempt to battle back, in the end Priest’s obvious distress at the major betrayal of Finn Balor proved to be the distraction GUNTHER needed to put Priest down.

After the match, Balor made it clear that he was walking away from Damian Priest as GUNTHER celebrated his title win.

There is major change solidified within the Judgment Day, with Priest and Ripley coming out of SummerSlam as babyfaces.
