The WWE commentary team for both nights of SummerSlam has been confirmed, ahead of the two-night event.
This year’s Biggest Party of the Summer is the first iteration of the event to span two nights, with WWE taking over MetLife Stadium on Saturday and Sunday (August 2-3).
Following uncertainty about WWE’s plans for the SummerSlam announce teams, Michael Cole has confirmed that just two announcers will call the entire show.
During the SummerSlam Countdown pre-show, Michael Cole stated that he and Wade Barrett will be the commentary team for both Saturday and Sunday’s SummerSlam shows.
The planned match order for the first night of SummerSlam is as follows (via PWInsider):
Roman Reigns & Jey Uso vs. Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed
Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez vs Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss – Women’s Tag Team Championship
Sami Zayn vs Karrion Kross
Tiffany Stratton vs Jade Cargill – WWE Women’s Championship
Randy Orton & Jelly Roll vs Drew McIntyre & Logan Paul
GUNTHER vs CM Punk – WWE World Heavyweight Championship
